McConnell's EKU Lecture on Crittenden to Air on C-SPAN

Sen. Mitch McConnell’s March 26 lecture at Eastern Kentucky University on famous Kentuckian John Crittenden will soon have a larger audience.

C-SPANs American History TV (CSPAN-3) channel will air the lecture on Saturday, May 25, at 11 a.m. and on Sunday, May 26, at 6 p.m. The entire program will then be available for viewing at c-span.org/history.

Crittenden served several terms as a U.S. senator from 1817 to 1861. He also was a governor of Kentucky and U.S. attorney general. In his talk, McConnell emphasizes Crittenden’s commitment to the Union before and after the Civil War and reflects on what current lawmakers can learn from former legislators.
