Student-Produced Video Welcomes First Lady to Campus

A video created by a group of Eastern Kentucky University students serves as an advance welcome to First Lady Michelle Obama, who has already tweeted her thanks.

The EKU Gurus, a group of upperclassmen who answer and assist students with a cross-section of questions and problems, recorded messages from several individuals and groups on campus offering their welcome to Mrs. Obama, who will be on the Richmond campus Saturday, May 11 as a commencement speaker. The video was posted on YouTube and shared with White House staff members.

On May 3, Mrs. Obama responded on her Twitter account (@FLOTUS): “Next week, the First Lady will deliver the commencement address at Eastern Kentucky. Thanks for the welcome: http://t.co/bwVnX41i9G.”
