Emergency Training at EWU

CHENEY, Wash. - As part of its ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety of students, faculty and staff, the Eastern Washington Univesity Poilce Department will conduct its annual active shooter and mass casualty incident training from 5 p.m.-midnight, Thursday, Aug. 16, on the EWU campus.

"We want to be prepared if something bad happens," said EWU Police Sargeant Bryan Dornbos, noting there is a huge difference between textbook training and real-time simulation training.

The exercise will include multiple law enforcement, fire and EMS agencies from around the region.
