Kansas City senior named Student Leader of the Month

Baldwin City, Kan. — Katerra Shackelford, a senior from Kansas City, Kan., was named Baker University’s Office of Student Life’s Student Leader of the Month for October.Katerra-Shackelford

The nomination for the honor stated the following: “Katerra is a leader on campus. She did an outstanding job creating awareness with the Travon Martin forum and has done a great job helping freshmen learn about and acclimate to Baker as a Salon leader this fall. She has been the president of Mungano and has won the prestigious INROADS Intern of the Year 2012 Award and scholarships as a Commerce Bank intern. Katerra is motivated and committed to making Baker a more diverse and open campus.”
